I've been a little late in updating the blog lately. But with summer in full swing I've been taking some time to enjoy it. I had the most wonderful day last week. My girl and I got up early and headed out to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art. As we climbed the majestic stairs to enter the cool grand lobby, she gasped "oh momma, this is the most beautiful place I've ever seen". Oh yes, just wait until you see all the treasures it holds. Once inside we traveled to Ancient Egypt, Renaissance Italy and saw "real princess rooms" in 18th century France. Nothing restores me like a trip to the MET. You must see the Ellsworth Kelly exhibition of plant drawing. It's sublime, no joke. Now all I want to do is move to the country for a period of time and make drawings. One day, I'll make it happen. I hope you are feeling inspired. I'm leaving you with some pics of the day.

I've never been to the Metropolitan. High time, I think!!! AND really beautiful bouquet!
What a lovely way to spend the day, I think it's the best way to teach child. She looks enchanted, and enchanting. Bouquet is as always, gorgeous.
The Egyptian reliefs are quite incredible and a beautiful bouquet to finish the post, perfect.
