To the faithful readers who visit me and share in this dream ...THANK YOU! I really feel you are my virtual family and I truly appreciate your words of encouragement and support. I had no idea how much blogging would enhance my world. And to my littlest pheasant thank you for your cute little ways - you make it all worth it. And to my husband, what can I say....you make it all possible. Happy New Year everyone. Here's to a fabulous 2011.

See you in the New Year!
So the year is coming to a close. And what a year it's been! My little ol' flower biz has grown in leaps and bounds. I am continually astonished, grateful and exhausted. Tomorrow we take off for a long weekend in the country with friends. I will recharge and when we return it's year number 3. Here we go! This is me now getting down on my knee and thanking all the gorgeous ladies and dashing gents who allowed me to create their wedding flowers in 2010. Happy wedding and welcome to marriage. May it be filled with love, health and happiness. And former grooms - it wouldn't kill you to send flowers to the misses from now and then. I'm just sayin'.

I've Always Wanted This
Hello friends. How was your Christmas? We had a blast. Every present Littlest Pheasant opened she shrieked "I've always always always wanted this!!!!" We celebrated with a feast of the seven fishes (an Italian culinary tradition) on Christmas Eve and then gift giving and lounging around on Christmas Day.
And then the storm hit! Wowza. We headed out all bundled up for a good old fashioned snow ball fight. I know I am suppose to be posting about flowers and weddings and I promise to be on that right away. I do have some great photos from past weddings to show you. But until then, I'm staying in my bath robe, knitting, making food, watching movies etc...you know what? I've always always wanted this!!!

The Mercantile
Wow. We did it. Our first holiday market! The last three days have been a whirlwind of activity. What started as a little idea among friends grew into such a rewarding experience for everyone. In record time we pulled it together and it was everything I could have hoped for. When Adam (my husband - did you already know that?) and I rented our storefront we envisioned a place where we could not only do business but host open houses, pop up shops, events and parties. We wanted a welcoming place where friends could hang out, make art, sell local quality goods and most importantly create an environment for our daughter to have fun in. That was this weekend in a nut shell. Come on in and see....
Outside on opening night
Adam's window with his light up industrial A and Lumen display.
Amazing ceramic work by Paula Greif. Seriously beautiful.
Sesame Letterpress had darling note cards, tags, calendars and coasters.
The insanely talented Lotta Jansdotter with her fabulous printed fabric goods, books and candles.
Colorful cashmere and cotton clothing from Eye Spy Baby.
Scrumptious tea cookies from Nine Cakes. Perfect stocking stuffers.
table. Her work is off the charts. Not too twee but girly enough. I wanted every piece.
Let the shopping begin!
Some of our littlest customers.
Wreaths, paper whites, pixie poinsettias, cypress trees and greenery swags.
and of course flowers.
Thank you all who came out and thank you to all my amazing designer friends for helping make this dream happen.

Winter Whites
Today we woke to the slightest dusting of snow on the ground. Frost has come to visit. When my head is foggy I often day dream of living in all white house. Clean and green. Here are some flowers that fit the bill. Take care

Berry Reds
Are you officially in the spirit yet? I'm getting there... busy potting up paper whites and making wreaths for our party and pop up shop this week. It was nice to have my hands on lovely blooms this weekend for an intimate wedding. Juicy reds and hot pinks for you to enjoy. Have a good Monday.
Did you know that the petals of these hydrangeas have been splattered with red paint by fairies? That's what Littlest Pheasant told me.

I've been suffering through a nagging head cold for 2 weeks now. Everyone in my family continues to pass it around and around and around and around and around. Remember in the fall when I said I was looking forward to gray wintery days? Well, I take it back now.
On another note, anyone you know want a pretty little bauble in their stocking? Love these...
