The Mercantile

Wow. We did it. Our first holiday market! The last three days have been a whirlwind of activity. What started as a little idea among friends grew into such a rewarding experience for everyone. In record time we pulled it together and it was everything I could have hoped for. When Adam (my husband - did you already know that?) and I rented our storefront we envisioned a place where we could not only do business but host open houses, pop up shops, events and parties. We wanted a welcoming place where friends could hang out, make art, sell local quality goods and most importantly create an environment for our daughter to have fun in. That was this weekend in a nut shell. Come on in and see....
Outside on opening night
Adam's window with his light up industrial A and Lumen display.
Amazing ceramic work by Paula Greif. Seriously beautiful.
Sesame Letterpress had darling note cards, tags, calendars and coasters.
The insanely talented Lotta Jansdotter with her fabulous printed fabric goods, books and candles.
Colorful cashmere and cotton clothing from Eye Spy Baby
Scrumptious tea cookies from Nine Cakes. Perfect stocking stuffers.
I wish I had better pictures of Bon Bon Oiseau's
table. Her work is off the charts. Not too twee but girly enough. I wanted every piece.
Let the shopping begin!
Some of our littlest customers.

Wreaths, paper whites, pixie poinsettias, cypress trees and greenery swags.
 and of course flowers.

Thank you all who came out and thank you to all my amazing designer friends for helping make this dream happen.
