Stripes

I'm in love with artist, photographer and knitter Sandra Junto's neck warmers and wrist worms. The color combos are sublime.  Check out her delightful blog. You now know where to go when you want to take a virtual trip to Sweden!

Monday Mornings So Good to Me

Strong coffee and homemade (not me) blueberry muffin in hand. Taking care of business and planning a super duper soiree that you are all invited to. More to come!! In the meantime enjoy some bouquets and bouts from the archive. See ya xo

Family Life

Hello Everyone. Are you still there? I needed to take a little break from the flower blogging world due to fatigue and then a head cold knocked me down. But I am back up and easing back into my life. I hope you all had a lovely Thanksgiving. I have so much to be grateful for this year. My gorgeous little family which is part of a larger incredible extended family that I owe so much. Here's what I've been up to....
Strolling the hood and saying "hi" the to the bears
We have a new member of the Fasanello crew! My brother and sister in law's new baby boy. Welcome to the world Rocco, Ruby has your back.
Visiting the Train Show at the Bronx Botanical Gardens. Every architectural model is made of leaves, twigs, moss and bark. Pretty incredible.
Sleeping. A lot of sleeping.

Advent

Last year I bought Ruby a little paper advent calendar from Trader Joe's.  You peeled away the window to reveal a little chocolate. Of course this made a huge impression on her and she asked about getting another one this year. I've been feeling pretty crafty lately so I am fixing to make one with her. Here are some cute ones I found on Etsy.

Delicious

I am soooo excited to show you all the professional images from a wedding we did back in September.  Courtney Davidson captured it beautifully! See the full wedding in her blog.  The centerpieces were just how I like 'em - big and juicy. Much congratulations to Zena and Ron.

Button Fern and Pink Tree Peony

Hello Friends, How are you? I have many things to show you and talk about but I am a little behind in work and life this week. Plus, honestly I've been spending a few days lounging about, cooking, watching Disney movies and playing with littlest pheasant. In the meantime I thought I'd show you some arrangements I did for the window last week. Sorry more tree peonies - but who can get sick of them? Not me. I am addicted to this pink. Hope all is well and be back soon...

Pretty Bouquet for Fall

Tree peony, oh tree peony how I adore you. Cream to pink to coral to red to plum (with green) is how I would describe the coloring of this bouquet. Vintage brooch finishes it off. Enjoy!

Harvest

A glorious fall day brought together burgundy dahlias, orange roses, local hydrangea, bittersweet, calendula, scabiosa and other goodies for a beautiful Saturday afternoon wedding at the River Cafe. I worked with one of the sweetest bride's ever. It was as if "fall" finally clicked for me. Later I made a tray of roasted squash, kale chips and lentil soup. Cooking and flower arranging, as many of you know, go hand and hand.

Little Red Birds

It's getting chilly put there folks. Are you ready for winter? I am. I yearn for quiet gray skies. Here are some images of the reception centerpieces - red dogwood branch, local hydrangea, smoke bush, black beauty rose,  juliette rose, amaranthus, jasmine, mini rose hips, geranium leaves and the most goooorgeous red dahlia. A feast!

Mazel Tov

On Sunday, very early we headed out for a hour drive along the Palisades to install a wedding. The sun was streaming down and the leaves were aglow. It was quite breathtaking. I was (as usual) a bit jumpy as we left the studio, fretting the drive time. But by 10am I had completed this amazing Chuppah. I loved how it turned out. I remember as I stood on the ladder, clipping and wiring the sound of birds and the breeze swirling around me. It felt good and I was happy to be making something with my hands. Enjoy fall.

Sesame Letterpress

I couldn't resist posting a plug for my fellow wedding worker, crafting buddy and mommy pal, Breck at Sesame Letterpress. She and her husband created these gorgeous plates for West Elm. SO lovely!! I want them all. Fabulous job.
