Ok folks, so remember those 5000 stems of pink flowers? Well here's where they went. L'Oreal threw Viktor & Rolf a birthday bash celebrating their perfume Flowerbomb on Wednesday night. We covered a MASSIVE sculpture of stacked perfume bottles in roses, carnations, stock and gerbera daisies. Every flower was water-picked. Oy! It took 14 looong hours to put together and a mere hour to take down. I totally over bought on carnations. It was really hard to figure out how much to buy. I dreaded getting caught short. Oh well. So, yesterday I made up little carnation bouquets and handed them out to people on Court Street. Monday I will drop some at the senior center. I am like the flower Santa. It was really an over the top experience. I hear the party was the bomb!
I especially loved the flowers in the fireplace. We filled in three of them. I was sad to destroy it!

Phenomenal! But I do so hate planning out those geometric designs, all that math to calculate the stemmage, and you did mixed flowers - woo!
I'm so glad you posted a close-up so we can see all the texture! It's all stunning, but the fireplace is particularly fabulous.
