Sewing Time

Not that I don't have enough to do... but I spy this book which is on display at Brooklyn General everyday. Remember that sewing machine I mentioned I received awhile back? Well, it's still in the box. l still have high hopes that I will one day be able to sew up some quick smocks for littlest pheasant before she reaches high school. I think this book might be the inspiration I need. I should add that I just now finished my knitted holiday gifts...holiday 2009, that is.

Sewing can be both uplifting and frustrating - often at the same time. But for someone with your eye for color and fashion, and your eye/hand coordination, it should be a snap. Enjoy!

Um, I have good eye/hand coordination too but I can't sew a stitch. Very cute book though.

Practice makes perfect. I have been sewing since I was a kid and I get better with every stitch. You will make mistakes and that is why a stitch puller will be your best friend at least for awhile!!
