Boutonnieres
As the wedding season approaches I've been looking for boutonniere inspiration. Of course Martha never disappoints. Love all of these.

I realize the terrarium craze is going strong (I've already posted these) but I couldn't resist...

Simply Divine
I covet everything in this NYC icon of a store. The florals are nothing short of masterpieces - lush, refined, and incredibly sophisticated.

Cloud 9
There are lots of sweet little headbands out there these days. But I haven't seen anything quite like this brass one by yellowgoat. So cute and unique. Sculpture for the hair.

Language & Landscape
This is another idea that I still think about fleshing out. Too many ideas. I made this while reading this book.

Housemartin
I have been meaning to give Pam over at Housemartin a big thank you for posting my little drawings a couple of weeks ago. I found the blog Housemartin and the shop Ink and Peat awhile back and was an immediate fan. I actually wrote her for some advice on my floral design business. She was so awesome to write me back with words of wisdom and encouragement right away. One of these days I'm going to make it out to Portland for an inspirational visit.
Here is an example of one of her lovely bouquets.

Biomorphic Plantings
I've always been a fan of Paula Hayes's work from back in my art world days. I love these terrariums and organic shaped planters.

Happy Holi
I just learned that the Hindu holiday called Holi, starts today. It's all about cleaning out the old and welcoming the new. Springtime! There are big public celebrations where colored water, powders and flowers are thrown. Now that's my kinda of party! I am running out to buy a big bunch of bright tulips....Read more about this amazing festival of color on this great blog the Human Flower Project.

Doily Vase
Sweet little craft project from Country Living. I think this would look nice mixed in with white ceramic bud vases for an outdoor country wedding.
Spotted on BROOKLYNrehab.

Wallpaper and Roses
A couple of weeks ago I was invited by the super talented Monika Broz to participate in a fashion photo shoot she was organizing. The location was this incredible Victorian home that had not been touched since the 1960's. I came a day early to style some shots with just the flowers. Here is one of my photos from the day. I am anxiously waiting for the professional pictures, which I know are going to be incredible. You can see a teaser montage on Monika's blog. It was so much fun!! Thank you Monika. Stay tuned...more to come.

For the weekend...
Dreamy, loopy, colorful, paintings by San Francisco artist Nellie King Solomon. These works may look like little ink drip drawings but they are actually a staggering 8ft x 8ft! That throws a curve ball into the experience. I find them exhilarating and beautiful.
