The Gardener

The Gardener
This is an amazing garden supply and home decor shop. They have a couple of locations in the Bay Area. I visited the Berkeley one. It's a big and airy store with a great selection of pots and garden furniture. Plus it has totally reasonably priced orchids.

This is gigantic!

California Dreaming

Hi all,
The reason I've been MIA this last week is because my little clan (all 3 of us) headed out to the Bay Area to visit friends and family. It was wonderful. Warm sun, green trees, blooming gardens, yummy food, great shops....well, you get the idea.
Here are a few snaps. I will be sharing some of my favorite shops later. Come back!

New Press

I have been meaning to thank the very talented Brooke from Pollen, a floral designer from New Zealand for featuring my work on her terrific blog - Crosspollination. Her blog is great fun and filled with fabulous flower work. Thank you Brooke!

new york designer: denise fasanello

I always love being inspired by other floral designers, and Denise Fasanello is definitely making the gray, rainy day we're having here in Auckland much brighter. How fresh is this bouquet with kumquats, scabiosa and peonies?

Denise also creates lovely inspiration boards for her clients, and as a former fine artist, has a knack for photography. Check out her collages, photography and more gorgeous flowers at her blog Little Pheasant, and her website Denise Fasanello Floral Design.

Pastel Prettiness

With Easter on it's way, I thought I'd share these lovely table tops. So sweet and pretty for spring. The styling is by the very talented Chiara Alberetti Milott.

The Raven

These illustrations by Emmanuel Polanco knocked me dead in my tracks. They were commissioned for a book project by the US Postal Service commemorating the 2009 release of the Edgar Allen Poe stamp. I want this book!
