Cocktail Hour
Rustic cymbidium orchids, sweet gum leaf, hypericum berry, echinacea, burgundy scabious, fiddle head ferns and peacock feathers for the cocktail tables. I had this wedding design jammed up in my head for weeks. I hemmed and hawed the day I went to the market to purchase my goodies. The peacock feather was the inspiration but I did not want to go emerald green and electric blue. I wanted autumnal and the bride requested some orange. So I went for my favorite cymbidium for the main attraction and was surprised that the sweet gum was the perfect accent. Sometimes making flowers really is like cooking. A little of this and dash of that, all the while keeping the main meal in mind. Okay, I'm rambling now...I have to say I am so happy with how these turned out.

Hello,
I am over the moon (harvest that is), to have found you and your blog. The beauty here takes my breath away. Thank you.
Marjorie
I love these!! I'm so glad you avoided the typical peacock color scheme and went with something fresh and different.
