Little flower doodles. At first they were going to be worked into the website design but I changed my mind. Maybe rubber stamps or material for collages?
I just came across the lovely work of artist Norm Magnusson. These hand painted leaves from his Decorating Nature series are totally up my alley. Simple. Direct. Pure. Beautiful. I am particularly enthralled by the pixelated rhododendron leaf - great idea.
What can I say...I am simply insanely in love with these. They are by Resurrection Fern (my new obsession) found via Design Sponge

This spring wedding called for a modern crisp floral design. It was held at Pochron Studios in Dumbo, a clean white loft space with views of Manhattan. The bride designed the table cards using a snappy apple green color with black and white. The table cards all had little notes about how the bride and groom met. It was a sweet touch. I hung green lanterns and a graphic black and white patterned fabric on the ceiling. I was especially fond of the orchids in the tea tins for the cocktail tables. These photos are by the awesome Suzie of Q Weddings.
I am very excited to be the featured vendor this week on one of my favorite wedding blogs, Brooklyn Bride! Thank you, Vane. This comes just in time for the launch of my new website. Check it out here. Special thanks to Michael at Design Circles.
When I started this blog my intent was to show only my work. But then I stumbled upon these amazing soap flower carvings. I just couldn't resist posting them. They are hand carved by Yung Cohn, who also happens to be an expert veggie carver. I find them really beautiful. Plus I'm totally into the obsessive compulsive nature of it all. Apparently, soap carving is quite the art form in Taiwan. Gotta love the internet.
I started making these collages/drawings (ink, watercolor and collage on paper) I'm not sure where they fit in right now. I guess after taking photos for a while I miss mark making. Next, I want to combine both photography and drawing...I have some ideas. Stay tuned.

This was a wedding I did last summer at the most amazing place. It was this gorgeous estate called Osborn Castle at Cat Rock in Garrison, New York. STUNNING. I am in love with this couple. Brett and Adam are super terrific people. We lined the center of the long tables with little white pots filled with moss and baby tears, tea tins filled with spray roses and geranium leaf, tulips, peonies and scabiosa in glass vases and ceramic milk bottles. I loved how the colors popped in the all white tent surrounded by lush green hills. The design really struck the right tone for this couple and venue - fun, hip, garden, lush and colorful. The catering was done by Fresh Company. I owe the very talented photographer Jeff Tisman a huge thanks for his incredible photos. He has a great blog where you can see more.
